It was aimed to report 5 cases of pharyngeal hairy polyps, and to summarize the characteristics combined with literature review. Five cases with pathological diagnosis of pharyngeal hair polyps were diagnosed and treated in our department from June, to October,and retrospective analysis of their clinical data was performed. Among the 5 cases, there were 1 male and 4 female, with the age of 2 days to 26 months old.

I have had a full leg cast on for seven weeks and when it was taken off I found that the affected leg has acquired significantly increased hair growth. I am rather dismayed about this and would like to know why. Although this phenomenon has not been discussed much in the medical literature, there is one theory to explain why the hair grows. The skin under the plaster cast is subjected to tiny amounts of friction as the cast moves.
The hairy frog Trichobatrachus robustus is also known as the horror frog or Wolverine frog. It is a Central African species of frog in the family Arthroleptidae. It is monotypic within the genus Trichobatrachus.
Little is known concerning the mechanisms underlying the perception of cold pain in humans. An appreciation of these mechanisms is important to understand and possibly treat those disorders in which cold stimuli evoke unpleasant sensations.
